Ryan Lay: The Route One interview

Jul 2017 by Route One

Following on from Tuesday's release of the first in our series of Welcome Skateboards interviews (Daniel Vargas in case you missed it) comes Tempe Arizona local and current "owner" of the Nollie, Etnies ripper Ryan Lay.

Ryan Lay is the thinking man's skater. Whilst there has never been a shortage of gifted minds and philosophers in our midst, few people present themselves and their cogitation as thoughtfully as your boy Ryan. Having stepped away from the pro skateboarding game, filling the hiatus not with partying but furthering his education, he reasserted himself into our hearts with his ascension to the pro ranks in the Welcome team and now he's opening his heart for us.

Discussing everything from his kindred spirit found in Pierre Andre Senizergues at Etnies, through his involvement "giving back to the community" via the 'Skate After School' program to singing the praises of a company owner that allows his riders the autonomy to represent the brand as they see fit - this is one of our most in depth interviews in quite some time and one we think you're really going to enjoy!
