The Sweet Spot: Nike SB Air Max 95 "Cacao Wow"

Following on from the supreme popularity of their debut Summit White and Cactus colourway, as well as the Eric Koston collab, SB’s third iteration of the AM95 adds a rich chocolatey goodness to the iconic street silhouette, dripping Cacao and Choco Fantastique accents onto the skeletal upper and beyond. The greyscale suede upper is the closest Nike SB have gotten to the the OG AM95 colourway to date; a shoe which took UK street culture by storm. This time out, they have notably switched out the loud Neon accents of the original for earthy brown tones, delivering a familiar but fresh take on the '110'.

The skeletal frame of an upper sits atop a blacked-out PU foam midsole, where you will find the famous Air Bubble support. Traditionally a higher-sitting shoe, the SB edition of the 95 trims weight and adjusts both insole and tread for enhanced boardfeel and flexibility, sitting you effectively ON the iconic Air Bubble, whilst adding herringbone lugs for increased traction on the gum outsole. It's the 95, rebuilt for a new era. Cacao Wow flows through the translucent river of bubble tech visibly sat within the outsole, spilling out into the canals of herringbone grip.

Always silky with the details, the greyscale suede ribs are contrasted with deep brown accents, including a tasteful swoosh on the heel end of the top rib, which itself is topped by a breathable mesh section which connects to the chocolatey lace loops. Moving up to the top of the reflective mesh tongue, the classic Air Max pill logo completes the finer details, combining the separate entities of the colour palette to form one of the most recognisable logos in the game.
